POSTED TO OGUN STATE? THE NACC CATHOLIC CORPER'S LODGE IS HERE FOR YOU

Lumenar Blog Team

Is there a Catholic Corpers Lodge in OGUN state?
Yes. There are. We have one at Ijebu-Ode, Ota, Sagamu, Abeokuta zones respectively.

The National Association of Catholic Corps Members (NACC) is an association that gives you the feeling of home away from home. Furthermore, it helps you groom yourself in the Catholic faith. It has it's headquarters in Jos, Plateau state.

During my service year in OGUN state, I stayed in the NACC Catholic family house, Abeokuta. It is situate at No. 24, Lemomu Ayeni Street, off Mercy Road, Onikolobo.

The NACC family house is an adventurous place where you meet different callibre of individuals with different personalities. Of course, there are rules guiding the occupants in the house. Some of them include;

1. Prayer is compulsory. Every occupant is expected to come out for morning prayers by 5:00am and evening prayers by 8:00pm. The prayers are usually anchored by the Basic Christain Coordinators (BCC).

2. No individual cooking. Cooking is done collectively. You sub monthly or weekly. The meals are healthy and delicious most times depending on the team that prepared the meal.

3. No fighting, insulting or bickering of one another or any of the executives.

4. You can't wear short sleeves dresses or tops( male and female). You can wear decent trousers, shorts, skirts, tops and dresses. As long as it is decent, you are good to go.

5. Each occupant is assigned some duties weekly by the Mama, landlord/landlady and the BCC. You are expected to carry out your duty. Where you fail without any reasonable justification, you serve the punishment meted out to you.

6. No littering....you pay N500 per litter.

7. Each occupant in the house is expected to pay the sum of N500 every month as maintainance fee for the upkeep of the house.

8. Come into the house bearing love.

The NACC family house is close to the Bishop's court. The Bishop of Abeokuta 's court is a very beautiful scenery. Visitors and Non-catholics are welcome so long as they would abide by the rules, join us in our prayers and do what we do.

The Executives
The house is managed by zonal executives. Each zone has
1. A president: Papa
2. A Vice-president: Mama
3. A Treasurer
4. A Financial Secretary
5. BCC 1
6. BCC 2
7. LANDLORD
8. LANDLADY
9. PRO
